About Us
Lexington's Trusted IT Experts since 2001
Next Century Technologies started off as Woodford Computer Solutions in Versailles, KY back in 2001. Since then, Owner and President Tracy Hardin moved to Lexington and changed the name to better reflect the broad range of services our company provides. Our goal has always been to grow a team of consultants who not only have a wealth of technical expertise, but also have a genuine desire to help people.
Back in 2016, our communication technology had progressed to the point that it was part of our critical day-to-day operations. We didn’t have the expertise in-house to support it, so we contracted with Next Century Technologies. They were knowledgeable with the on-line challenges our company was facing at the time and continue to support us to this day. They offer great hands-on support and quick response because they are a local company with a personable staff.

Leadership Team
Tracy Hardin
Founder & President
Tracy started Next Century Technologies in 2001 (formerly Woodford Computer Solutions) after she was fired from her previous employer which happened to also be a consulting firm. She loved the work so much that she went out on her own working from her home office and pickup truck. After the non-compete with her previous employer ended, Tracy was able to resume work for the clients she was serving at her previous employer. Eventually she could not keep up with the demand and now Next Century Technologies has a full-time staff and office in Lexington. Nowadays Tracy’s responsibilities include providing guidance for the company, evaluating new technologies, keeping up with cyber threats, implementing new services, marketing, service contracts, and client satisfaction. Networking, problem solving, Cisco VoIP, project management and video editing are her specialties.
Tracy is a 1990 University of Kentucky graduate in Computer Science with Business Specialization. Her various certifications over the years include Novell Netware, Cisco, A+ and VMware. In 2017 she obtained her drone pilot license.
Tracy and her husband Joel have two daughters and a son. She enjoys reading, biking, skiing, scuba, hiking, working with animals and anything tech.
